What is The Seed Fund?
Now in its third year, The Seed Fund helps fledgling food ideas from the South West become fully-formed food brands and build sustainable, long-term businesses. Established by food brand experts The Collaborators, The Seed Fund aims to give back to the South West region and showcase the brilliant food talent within its borders.
What is it worth?
The Fund offers its winner a year-long package of expert marketing, design and business resources worth £100k that equips each one with a strong brand, great packaging and rock-solid business planning and mentoring. All time and resources are contributed pro bono by the consultancies committed to the Seed Fund project and winners will benefit from regular sessions with the core Seed team and quarterly mentoring from the South West’s food business leaders.

2013 winner Ben Roberts’s ethical shade-grown coffee brand Bird & Wild is now in Selfridges, Planet Organic, Wholefoods, Daylesford and adding new distributors every month. 2014 winner Lisa Hackett’s range is currently in brand development and will be in market in Spring 2015.
