The show opens in two weeks, and as we speak, over 200 exhibitors are busy getting ready to show you their new ranges, artisan produce, state of the art equipment, and much more. They’ve been busy over the last year too! There’s a lot to tell you about, so we hope you’re sitting comfortably…and we’ll begin! 🙂
Gusto Organic (Stand F19) are new to the Source trade show and will be showcasing their newly launched Sicilian Lemon with Yuzu, which is a luxurious premium lemonade made with fresh Yuzu juice and cold pressed Yuzu peel. They bottle their range just outside Exeter in Woodbury Salterton, and are hugely excited to connect with local businesses to showcase their multi award winning range of adult focused premium soft drinks. The Gusto range are uniquely free from refined sugar, organic and Fairtrade certified and bottle their drinks with spring water from the hills of Exmoor. Not only that, they’re award-winning too having won Great Taste awards for their Real Cola, Cherry Cola (the world’s first organic cherry cola packed with real cherry juice) and their Fiery Ginger with Chipotle (the perfect adult soft drink and an exceptional mixer). Their Sicilian Lemon with Yuzu was also finalist in the Soil Association BOOM awards best soft drink category in 2019.
Thunderflower (Stand NC2), a small-batch gin made at their nano-distillery in Teignmouth, was awarded a Gold in the 2018 & 2019 Taste of the West Awards, which they were absolutely thrilled with, as well as receiving a Silver in the International Spirits Challenge Awards, and most recently, a Gold in the Gin Masters 2019 Competition, not bad considering they are probably the smallest distillery that entered! They have also been awarded a Great Taste star this year. Their multi-award winning London Dry Gin is made in a traditional ‘one-shot’ distillation run using vapour-infusion, resulting in a smooth gin and full-bodied, complex flavour profile balancing sweet, savoury and spice.
Launched in May 2019 TwelveBelow (Stand F2) is the UK’s first all natural genuinely low sugar range of tonic water. All the flavours are less than 12 calories per 100ml and have just 2.5g of sugar (organic agave), which is 70% less sugar than most regular tonics. Most importantly however, is that all the flavours taste delicious, with no compromise for a low calorie drink. They currently have four delicious and refreshing flavours inspired by fruit from their garden in the Chiltern Hills, Buckinghamshire – Classic Premium, Apple & Garden Mint, Rhubarb & Ginger and Pear & Cardamom. They are great for mixing with your favourite gin, or enjoyed on their own. They are proud to say that their tonics are already stocked in over 100 locations with repeat orders and lots of consumer interest. This is their first time exhibiting at Source and they hope to spread their “good news” brand to the South West and beyond.
Newcomer Devon Cove Vodka (Stand NC9) create exceptionally smooth vodka using King Edward potatoes, lovingly grown on their family farm overlooking Hope Cove, South Milton Sands and the renowned Burgh Island in Devon. Their very first batch of Cove Vodka was made from King Edward potatoes, harvested in September 2018 and Cove Vodka was born. Their copper pot, single distilled vodka is handcrafted in an artisan distillery from the finest ingredients. They found that using the finest Devon potatoes and Devon spring water combined with small batch traditional copper pot distillation creates a distinctly smooth and delicious vodka that captures the essence of their county.
