Welcome back!

December 3, 2013

With 75% of the stands for the 2014 show already taken, we’re pleased to see a lot of familiar faces will be joining us again.  Do you recognise any of these exhibitors?

Bell and Loxton
The Bells of Bell & Loxton have been farming at Upton Barton in South Devon for the past 40 years.  This is a family business which is run from the family farm.  Their passion for good quality natural products has led to the development of Bell & Loxton’s cold pressed rapeseed oil for cooking, dressings and mayonnaises.  Bell & Loxton have been awarded 3 stars in the Great Taste Awards 2013.  The award winning cold pressed rapeseed oil is grown, pressed and bottled on their farm in South Devon.  A delicious, healthy alternative to other culinary oils; naturally rich in omega 3, 6 & 9 and less than half the saturated fat of olive oil.

Highfield Preserves Ltd
Highfield Preserves began life in 1984 on the family Aga in the Fraser household in Devon. Since then, the company has moved to purpose-built premises on the outskirts of Tiverton.  They produce over 40 different flavours of jams, chutneys, jellies, mustards and marmalades, made to the finest recipes, using the best ingredients, to the highest standards and with the greatest care.  Their products don’t have artificial additives or preservatives and many of them have won medals at regional and national competitions.  The Highfield brand is an assurance of the highest quality, whether you are buying the smallest jar or a catering pack for your restaurant.

Quickes Traditional Ltd
At Quickes Traditional, they make award-winning traditional cheeses using milk from their dairy herd. Every truckle is handmade by one of nine skilled cheese makers before being wrapped in muslin and carefully matured for anything up to 24 months.   The Quicke family have been farming at Home Farm, near the village of Newton St. Cyres in the South West of England, for over 450 years.  25 years ago Sir John Quicke and his wife Prue built the dairy, where Sir John’s daughter Mary continues to produce outstanding cheeses today.  Their cheeses are regular winners at all the major cheese shows, both in the UK and abroad.

The Watercress Company
Specialist producers of baby leaf salad and watercress and Europe’s first fresh wasabi growers, based in the South West of England.  They pride themselves on innovation, traditional standards of quality and value and the importance of farming in harmony with our environment.  They have a long and impressive heritage of production in Dorset and Hampshire, with 4th generation farmers dating back to the 1850’s.  They also have farms in Florida, USA and Jerez in southern Spain.  These farms provide the bulk of the watercress sold in the winter months due to the slow growth of the UK crop at this time of year.  Watercress is packed with essential vitamins and minerals, classed as a Superfood it is versatile and truly unique.

They’re not the only familiar faces you’ll see. From Tamar Labels, to the Cornish Crisp Company, Rod & Ben’s to Forest Produce, Metro Drinks, and many more besides, it’s almost like a family party!
