Here at Hale Events, we’ve been organising trade shows for 25 years. Based in Axbridge, Somerset, we’ve been running this show, the Source trade show, in Exeter for food and drink buyers for ten years, and next year we’re taking it on the road! Welcome to The Source Roadshow, taking place at Bristol’s Ashton Gate Stadium on the 18 June 2020.
Bristol has a thriving independent food sector, with a focus on local, organic and ethical produce, so it’s perfect for us to connect more regional producers to. From traditional delis and street markets, to buzzing bars & bistros, casual popup container restaurants, street food and no less than four Michelin-starred restaurants, Bristol has something for everyone and is justifiably renowned for it’s vibrant food scene. We want to help Bristol buyers try, taste, touch and test even more of the best produce that the South West has to offer! If you’re in the food, drink, hospitality or catering business, there’s no better place than a trade show to find the quality ingredients, equipment and services that you need. You can’t taste artisan cheese on a website, sup single estate cider from a catalogue, or check the quality of tablecloths in a brochure, now can you? Even if you could, why waste your valuable time comparing products and competitors online when you can meet them all under one roof? Face to face is the best way to meet the people behind the products, and to build long term relationships with them. The best deals are done in person, not over the phone.
Working with Taste of the West, the South West’s regional food group, and BARBIE, the Bristol Association of Restaurants, Bars and Independent Establishments, along with a broad mix of trade publications, and local business press, the Source Roadshow will showcase artisan food & drink producers, alongside hospitality and catering suppliers, food service, and service providers.
John Sheaves, Taste of the West’s Chief Executive said: “Taste of the West is absolutely delighted to support the new Source trade Roadshow in Bristol, being one of the key cities and therefore markets for high quality food and drink in the South West. This is a truly exciting venture that takes quality, high integrity products right into the heart of Bristol where producers will be able to share their knowledge and expertise with buyers from the city. Having worked with Hale Events for many years, knowing that they are behind this new venture provides us with great confidence.”
“BARBIE Bristol welcomes this new trade show to Bristol and looks forwards to working with the organisers to make it successful & fun for Bristol’s hospitality sector.” Andy Dodd, Chairman.
“We’ve wanted a trade show for hospitality buyers in Bristol for years. We’re delighted Hale Events are launching one because we’ve always done great business at their shows.” Nick Rowland, Qtos Catering Equipment.
“We have been exhibiting at The Source trade show in Exeter for the past 5 years, and the team at Hale Events are very supportive and always on hand. We are very much looking forward to growing our business through their shows including the up and coming Source Roadshow in Bristol.” Beth Tuck, Arthur David, Food with Service.
As you can see, we’re not the only ones excited about our Roadshow! If you’re interested in joining us next June, then visiting is free for trade buyers and you can register online now. If you’d like more information about exhibiting, then give James or Paul a call on 01934 733433, and they’d be happy to help you find the perfect stand for your needs. We’re looking forward to showing Bristol what the South West has to offer, and to meeting lots of new faces and new products. See you in June 2020!
