Our special Newcomers’ area is always popular as it showcases new companies from the South West that have never exhibited at a trade show before. If you want to differentiate yourself from your competitors and add that element of surprise or novelty then time spent in this area of the show is certain to pay dividends.
Here are the Newcomers from 2019 – we can’t wait to see who joins us in 2020!
A small family run distillery located in the idyllic Somerset countryside, Exmoor Distillery sits on the southern gateway to Exmoor at Dulverton, and it is here that all their products are distilled, bottled, labelled and distributed. Exmoor Distillery are producers of fine quality artisan spirits, having first launched their premium quality Northmoor Gin in July 2018. Customers love the complex flavours of the juniper and botanicals that give their gin a decidedly country taste and smooth texture.
Just Desserts are an independent rural business delivering artisan cakes and slices to cafes, delicatessens, farm shops and outdoor caterers throughout Somerset and Devon. Mixed with care and attention in small batches they create high quality handmade cakes from the finest light fluffy sponges to well established favourites such as salted caramel brownies, raspberry frangipane, and peppermint slices. They use organic flours, free range eggs and source their ingredients locally as much as possible. They also like to try new ingredients and offer something slightly different like Rose Orange and Lavender Cake. Their range also includes ‘Gluten and Dairy Free’ cakes as well as ‘Vegan Slices’
Meet Kernel Cobs, producers of delicious and crunchy guilt free roasted corn snacks. They are a healthier, low sugar, high fibre, gluten free snack that is vegan friendly. Each bag of Kernel Cobs is packed full of goodness, and bursts with flavour. Currently available in 4 delicious flavours; Ready Salted, Smoked Barbecue, Smouldering Chilli and Mediterranean Herb, they make the perfect snack at work, at home or for life on the go!
Moorjam make the finest jams and chutneys, 1000ft high up on Bodmin Moor. They small batch produce 18 different high quality jams and chutneys in beautiful gift boxes and also in 190ml larger jars.
Papillon Dartmoor Distillery
Papillon Gin is lovingly created in a small distillery nestled within the Dartmoor National Park.It is distilled with 17 different botanicals which gives it a complex, full flavour. They marry traditional gin botanicals with Dartmoor flavours; gorse, hawthorn and rowan berries, chamomile and their specially grown local Devon violets. It is named “Papillon” for the Pearl Bordered Fritillary, an endangered Dartmoor butterfly that feeds on wild violets, and they donate 1% from every bottle sold to The Butterfly Conservation project protecting fritillaries in the local area. Papillon Gin is made with fresh Dartmoor spring water from a nearby hill farm where the Pearl Bordered Fritillaries frequent. It’s nectar for both the gin drinker and the butterfly!
Pretty Little Pastries
Pretty Little Pastries aims to create something special and memorable for you and all your guests. Chef Samuel Brook believes using the finest of ingredients helps to create the highest quality products. He has a real love and respect for those ingredients combined with a passion for perfection, which is what he aims to share with you through his Pretty Little Pastries. They can provide anything from celebration cakes, confectionary, wedding catering, private dining, canapes, full afternoon tea or simply dessert for a dinner party.
Rogue Wines are wine bag in box (BIB) specialists. Their wines are super-quaffable and fresh as a daisy. Unfussy, young wines, jam-packed with swagger and spice, and full of vim and vigour; they’re for the moment you’re living in. Not only do their wines taste great, they have epic eco-credentials. Using BIB decreases the carbon footprint of your wine, whilst lowering your recycling bill AND decreasing your product waste. They also want their wines to be as nature intended, so they keep them as sulphite-free as possible – at least three times below the legal limit. That way the freshness and fruitiness of the wines shines through. It does wonders for your hangover too, so drink up and enjoy! #GoRogueNow
Surf n Turf
Surf n Turf are a family run business based in Abbotskerswell, and their artisan produce makes the most of Devon’s farm and coastal harvest. They offer a seasonal variety of flavoured free range scotch eggs along with hearty pastry products and salad items for the catering industry.
Red Sails Gin is Brixham Gin’s flagship recipe, distilled and bottled in the fishing port of Brixham. It is a delicious blend of 20 botanicals which gives a fresh, balanced, smooth finish with a subtle hint of the sea. The gin is named after the iconic red sails of the traditional fishing trawlers that can be seen in the bay, bringing a little piece of Brixham’s unique seafaring heritage into their gin. Local pubs, restaurants, hotels and other venues have started to stock their gin, so keep an eye out for one behind your favourite bar.
The Unusual Meat & Pork Pie Co
The Unusual Meat & Pork Pie Co are makers of speciality pork pies, game pies, and meat pies, all lovingly crafted and handmade with fresh British ingredients from recipes old and new. Every single pie made is strictly produced using Locally Certified Meats and Red Tractor Approved Meats. In 2018 they were double 3 star winners in the Great Taste Awards, and runners up in the Great British food awards.

The Wholesome Bake use only the finest ingredients in their luxury, light and tasty pastries that will make your customers return again and again. Their Master Baker has 35 years experience, and has produced a superb scone, cup cake & sponge of the finest quality.
